Gayageum is a table harp-like instrument that resembles Japanese koto (both derive from Chinese guzheng). Gayageum has 12 strings.
The Sanzo music exists in dimension different from Western music.
In that it is similar to Japanese gagaku which is more widely known in the West today.

I would not call it jazz. To me it sounds more like easy listening with a good measure of world music.
Oh well, if one wants to call it jazz - then SMOOTH should be added.
It is pretty good sound-wise. |

From sound point of view, this disc is pure disappointment! I felt suspicious about extra-long playing BIS SACDs after buying the box - but then I bought and changed my mind. Solo lute sounds pretty good. Well, a single instrument doesn't require such a dynamic range as an orchestra does.
