This set was originally scheduled in the Universal Japan SACD 2004 release. I was quite excited as I had never had, or heard, this set in any format, and really looking forward to the sacd release. On 7 November 2006 Bernard Haitink led the Royal Concertgeboux Orchestra in a jubilee concert commemorating his 50th anniversary of his first appearance with the orchestra. Well, in distinct contrast to two of the posted reviews, I really liked this recording, in most every way. One really needs another T5 in the way one needs another M6 recording. Another wonderful disc from Pentatone!!!!! Joseph Schmitt was also known as "the Dutch Haydn" as many of his compositions were credited to the "real" Haydn.
