This album was my first introduction to Bob Dylan, and still in my top 5 favourite Dylan-albums. The sonics are ok to me. No complaints.

I'm quite sure this will be the "definitive version" of this timeless rock album. Get it before it's OOP. Recommended.

This release of "Gaucho" sounds more "analog" than the previous sacd. It's not as loud either. The bass is sometimes (slightly) less punchy than the first sacd release (flat transfer?). In my opinion, this version is sounding more natural and the way it was intended by the artists. Recommended.

Many people will skip this title, because it was released earlier as an sacd (in Europe I think). Big mistake! It's far more expensive than the original (European) sacd, but it's worth the extra cash. I think it's sonically a huge improvement over any earlier released cd/sacd of this album. An ... more

My expectations for this title were very high. But it ended up in disappointment. I gave the shm-sacd a few spins last week trying to change my negative opinion.
