I have all the MSFLs - I succumbed and went for the new RCA Living Stereos, but I refuse - repeat, refuse - to go for this ... I see the SACDs are still 'pre-order,' - has anyone bit yet?

I, personally, am giving up purchasing pricey box sets for LENT!

But, maybe I'll relent after Easter, Alex!

if this box set had Thom Cadley's 5.1 mix of Couldn't Stand The Weather that never made it to SACD back in the day, I'd be all over it...

Fred, Audio Fidelity might (fingers crossed) venture into multichannel SACD and Thom Cadley's "existing" 5.1 mix would be a splendid choice for re~release on mch SACD.

Wasn't even aware of that mix but I do have the original stereo SACDs of Couldn't Stand the Weather on the original SONY/Epic label and one from MoFi. The MoFi is better, IMHO!

Without 5.1, the world is a smaller space!

:( for us little people who live in cramped apartments where multi-channel is simply a pipe dream...

So, we marry rich women with trust funds and move to a penthouse: problem solved, Alex!

I just received a very low number of the SRV SACD box...
Unfortunately, after listening to two of the discs, I can say these have very poor sound quality. The MoFi versions are light years ahead in detail, lack of distortion and air. This was a EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING result after all the waiting.

For $280, you should have struck gold with these remasters which Acoustic Sounds is toting as "the second coming!"

At the end of their blurb they absolutely guarantee that these remasters done from 30ips master tapes (w/bonus cuts) are the finest money can buy.

I'd send them back if I was dissatisfied!

And, as usual, you are paying roughly $100 for the special silver foiled box which encases the SACDs!
